Post #6: Overview of The Bourne Identity Thus Far

This book has been a lot to take in within the first 150 pages. It is so full of action that it makes this one of the few novels that makes me reread certain parts, because it is so fast paced. This novel has basically gone like this:

Bourne is discovered,
fight,
leaves for a new city,
fight,
kidnaps a woman (I'll get into more detail about this later. Focus on this summary),
fight,
grand escape in a stolen car,
fights a man who is clearly crippled,
woman escapes,

and that is where I have stopped...

This, in total, stops the book at about 150 pages.

That's a lot of action.

Now, to the woman who was kidnapped part...

Well, Jason Bourne needed to get away from some agents out to kill him. To blend himself into the crowd, he kidnaps a woman, who acts as his wife. He uses her to gets a car, and as Bourne, injured, needs to get away, he threatens her: "Understand me clearly. You're going to do exactly as I tell you. You're going to be at my side and this gun will be in my pocket.... As you've seen, I'm running for my life, and I won't hesitate to pull the trigger. I want you to understand... (Pg 86)". This is the extent to what Bourne will go to in order to survive...
