Wow. That is the only word that comes to mind after starting to read The Bourne Identity. This book is full of action and suspense already, and I'm not even 100 pages in (98, to be exact). This book isn't the kind of book I normally read, as I mainly read legal thrillers, instead of straight-up thrillers like this novel, but this is great. I love every action scene within this book.
I haven't counted the number of action scenes in this book, but one scene in particular comes to mind. The first fight scene. Jason Bourne has no recollection of his past, so while he is being studied by a doctor, he gets into it with some fellow fishermen at his job. "(Bourne) gripped the handle with his right hand, jamming it back into the fishermen's stomach, pulling it forward at the instant of impact. (Ludlum 31)" That is one line from a somewhat intense scene, but a scene full of action for sure. As I continue to read this great novel, I am sure that I will find more action-packed scenes like this.
I love how you begin your post with "Wow" I felt like it really singled out this post from me and made me want to read it further. One thing that confused me about your post is that I felt like I needed more background information before being able to fully understand the depth of this post.
